Each organization has one plan. The plan sets how many PostgreSQL services you can run, the resources they can use in total, and how long backups are kept.

Compare plans

CPU, memory and storage are totals for the whole organization, shared across its services. A service with standby replicas uses its resources once per replica.
Organizations with Nigeria as the billing country are billed in NGN through Paystack.

Which plan to choose

Hobby

One small service for side projects, prototypes and learning.

Starter

A few services for small production apps and staging environments.

Professional

Production workloads that need point-in-time recovery and more room to grow.

Business

Larger teams and multiple production services with long backup retention.

Choose or change a plan

  • New account: you’re asked to choose a plan right after signing up. You can skip this and do it later.
  • New organization: you choose a plan while creating it.
  • Existing organization: go to Billing > Subscription and click Change Plan.
Plan changes are prorated for the rest of the billing cycle. See Billing.

When you reach a limit

When your organization runs out of service slots, CPU, memory or storage:
  • The create wizard shows what’s left and won’t let you go past it.
  • The Usage page shows which resource is close to its limit.
To get more room, upgrade your plan, or scale down or delete a service you no longer need.

Keep costs under control

  • Set a monthly spending cap with an alert threshold on the Usage page.
  • Delete services you no longer use. They are kept for 7 days in case you need them back.
  • Right-size services from their Settings tab instead of over-provisioning up front. You can increase resources later.
